Journey with Investigative Bees

I could click the Earth
with my finger   spin
to continents             holding a cardboard box
on my head          I was trying it out
It was an invention

Buzz over sky curves and the blue
             blaze of watery Earth

The black void sucked
                           The box frayed

"Raging apart in the phenomenal world" (Tom Clark)

Penultimate and final lines were drawn from notes taken during Tom Clark's class on the Renaissance poet Sir Thomas Wyatt.
