This is Pt. 1 of a video of the ROCKPILE Workshop at Bird & Beckett on April 12. There was no rehearsal. The musicians never met each other or worked together until the show. The whole performance was done very much in the moment as an experiment to see how this concept of ROCKPILE might manifest as we travel from city to city and work with local musicians. The sound could be better. (I should’ve grabbed the mic.) But overall everyone had a great time. I am open to suggestions and comments.

hey just watched these two videos… what a “trip” into my past right now!

as Carlo and my daughter say the gig at Busboys and Poets the crowd that will be there well this will be an huge hoot for ’em all. I think Busboys holds about 150 people (fire codes) when I was there there was a line of about 200 outside turned away.. maybe Bob Bruno (The Circus Maximus) and/or Marty Baum and his 60’s “rock”-group The Natty Bumpo witll be around.. sounds like y’all’s an oldie-goldie ‘work-in-progress’ will get there 4 hours early to get a parking spot on 14 th and U and a seat inside…

I think that Poets and Busboys is in the building that many years ago is where I and my rowdy bunch of musicians (I played radio) and schlept the drums and sold the Gallo cup by cup the building… The Bohemian Caverns hung out… that would have been a terrific venue fer UHAUL or over on 17 and Columbia Road The Showboat Lounge and across the street The Ambasador
Theater… maybe even the old Lincoln ?

    hey

that part 2 of the video well sounds like what is in my mind…this cacophonous stream… FAR OUT! sure is SWEET! I could say more… however, time for a nap.

at least two things pop out the acousticsicity of it all and that David sits down,,, precisely
