Kevin Opstedal

ARTIST BIO: Born and raised in Venice, California, editor of numerous sub-radar poetry journals and author of 12 books of poetry including the recently published chapbooks Variable High Cloudiness (The Dozens, Santa Ynez, CA), 9th & Ocean (Auguste Press, San Francisco, CA) and Next to Dreaming, or The Phone Never Rang (Angry Dog, Colorado Springs, CO). "A retired US Army colonel at a reading I gave in La Jolla said that I had eyes crazed by a thousand years of killing whales. I took it as a compliment." Represented here are a number of sketches that he's done for his various publications over the years.
