About Big Bridge

Big Bridge is an online magazine started in 1997 that extends the vision first articulated by Big Bridge Press, a publisher of fine print poetry and artist books founded in 1990.

Now in its 20th year, Big Bridge is one of the oldest and most visited English language literary arts magazines on the web. A powerful online presence, it strives to build "bridges" that bring all artistic communities together to create and share ideas in an open and supportive environment.

A unique feature of Big Bridge is its tradition of offering previously unpublished chapbooks devoted to single poets such as, Joanne Kyger, Michael McClure, Philip Whalen, Jack Collom, Renee Gregorio, Dorianne Laux, Mahmoud Darwish, Robert Creeley, Sarah Menefee, Bill Berkson, Andrei Codrescu, Nathaniel Tarn and Anselm Hollo.
